Third  Annual Bruning Pottery

Festival of Pumpkins Contest

 

RULES: (for 2011)

1. Bruning Pottery Students can enter the competition.

2. Student must be enrolled currently to enter.

3. Piece must be made of clay and fired here between now and October 5, 2010.

4.  Anything clay to do with Halloween or Pumpkins is admissible in the contest. (Max. size is 12" wide x 12"deep x 18" high.)

5. Entries may be for sale... with delivery after Oct 15.

6. One entry per student.

7. Judges will be Bruning Pottery customers that visit between Oct 7 and 20... who will be asked to choose their 4 favorite pieces and to rate them 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. We will give 4 points for each 1st place vote, 3 points for each second place vote and so on. The entry with the most points wins.
 

     

     

 

 

     

First Place: $70.00 gift certificate toward classes or merchandise.

Second Place:  $50.00 gift certificate toward classes or merchandise.

Third Place:  $30 gift certificate toward classes or merchandise.

Fourth Place:  $20.00 gift certificate toward classes or merchandise.

 

The  2011 Halloween Festival of

Pumpkins Contest Winners

Are:
1st place award to Alfredo Campos for his wonderfully constructed pumpkin with the unfortunate witch who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was sat on by the pumpkin.
Second place was awarded to Katherine Burkhart with her fenced in graveyard tree.  Really well done with great detail.
Third went to Sherry Martinez's Pumpkin tree with many great little pumpkins all around the trunk and hanging from the branches.
  4th place to Rosanne Hansen with her Giant Autumn Leaf in exquisite detail.
Congratulations to the winners and "very well done" to all who entered.  All entries received votes from the customers who did the voting for us, and you, over the last month.
